Nouvelle Vague

Nouvelle Vague are a French musical collective led by musicians Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux. Their name is a play on words referring simultaneously to their "Frenchness" and "artiness" (the '60s new wave of cult French cinema), the source of their songs (all covers of punk rock, post-punk, and New Wave songs), and their use of '60s Bossa nova-style arrangements (bossa nova meaning "new wave" or "new beat" in Portuguese).

Bitter:Sweet is an electronic/trip-hop duo with jazz-like qualities from Los Angeles. The band is comprised of Shana Halligan, who provides vocals and lyrics and composes the songs, and Kiran Shahani, who produces and composes the songs. They are often compared to, or appeal to fans of Zero 7, Morcheeba, Björk, Portishead, Esthero, Everything But the Girl, and Serge Gainsbourg.
Additionally, they have been featured on the soundtrack of The Devil Wears Prada, in Episode 2 ("I Am a Tree") of Season 3 of Grey's Anatomy, in Episode 7 ("The Ringer") of Season 1 of Moonlight, in Episode 1 of Lipstick Jungle ("Pilot"), the advertisements for "Samantha Who?" and Victoria's Secret, in the movies Because I Said So and Shoot 'Em Up, in a Zune advertisement (and the device itself), and also placed on MSN's list for "Ones to Watch" .

"Operate" is a song written and recorded by Peaches. The song was released as a double limited vinyl aside with "Shake Yer Dix" to promote the release of her second studio album Fatherfucker. The song was featured in the movie Mean Girls.

Hanne Hukkelberg (born April 1979) is a singer-songwriter from Kongsberg, Norway.

Hukkelberg started singing and playing instruments at the age of 3. In her youth, she was a vocalist covering genres such as jazz, rock and free jazz, and was a member of a heavy metal band in high school, called Funeral. She earned her degree from the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo.

Her debut album Little Things was released in Norway in 2004 with a subsequent worldwide release in June 2005 by Propeller Recordings and distributed by Sony Music. Little Things is notable for its eclectic array of instruments and its use of found sounds, such as bicycle spokes, dish brushes, wine glasses, and rain.

Rykestrasse 68 was released in September 2006 and awarded with a Norwegian Grammy. She lives together with Jan Arne Holtz, the drummer of Kraftwerk.

Chris Garneau is an American singer and songwriter and musician. Garneau has a distinct sound with combined elements of folk, Americana, pop, baroque, & carnival music. Since releasing his debut album, Garneau has toured throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. In performance, Garneau usually places a lamp on the piano before playing.[1]

A review in The Village Voice compared Garneau to singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright.[2] Like Wainwright, Garneau is openly gay,[3] though he has stated that his sexuality does not directly affect his music

Garneau cites Jeff Buckley, Nina Simone, Nico, and Chan Marshall as influences.[3] He lives in Brooklyn, NY and is currently working on his second full-length album. After a recent performance, Garneau mentioned April 2008 as a likely release date for a second album.
