Stars is a Juno Award nominated Canadian indie pop band. Originally formed in Toronto by vocalist Torquil Campbell and keyboardist Chris Seligman, the band relocated to New York City and then subsequently to Montreal.

Britta Persson

Britta Persson was born in 1982. She grew up in Uppsala in Sweden but currently lives in Stockholm. In 2004, she sang together with Swedish indie-pop heavy-weight Kristofer Åström on his record and later joined him on tour. On this album Britta has once again worked with Kristofer who has helped her with recordings.

Haley Bonar

Haley Bonar is an alt-country singer/songwriter who hails from South Dakota, but currently lives in St. Paul, Minnesota. She plays guitar and keyboards and typically is backed sparingly, in some instances only by a drummer. Chris Morrissey currently plays bass for Haley.

In 2003, Bonar released the album entitled "...The Size of Planets," on Low's label, Chairkicker's Union, which received favorable reviews from the Minneapolis press. The album spawned the single, "Am I Allowed," which was played on college radio stations. In 2006, she released an album entitled "Lure the Fox."

Sigur Rós

sigur rós consists of jón þor (jónsi) birgisson (vocals, guitars), kjartan (kjarri) sveinsson (keyboards), orri páll dýrason (drums) and georg (goggi) holm (bass). the band were formed by jónsi, georg and original drummer ágúst in 1994. they were later joined by kjartan and when ægúst left the band after the recording of ágætis byrjun in order to pursue a career in graphic design, he was replaced by orri. sigur rós hail from iceland, and rightly claim to bring you the beautiful landscape of their homeland with their music. it's impossible to fully justify it with words, so the best advice would be to check out the media page and listen to some tracks from their astonishing back catalogue.

The music of José González is hardly reminiscent of fireworks and confetti, but still that’s exactly how his last album was received – all over the world. His low-voiced, serious and introverted music has almost been hugged to death by everything from the indie crowd to your grandmother. José himself is more than anything surprised.
