Le Tigre

Le Tigre is an American dance-punk band, formed by Kathleen Hanna (formerly of Bikini Kill) and Johanna Fateman in 1998. It also featured Sadie Benning from 1998 until 2001, and JD Samson for the rest of the group's run. Le Tigre is known for its socio-political lyrics, dealing with issues of feminism and the LGBT community.
Le Tigre uses samples, claves, farfisa, a live dj, guitar, voices and beats to make their music. Their sound touches on conceptual garage, digital anthemic, political sadness and unfinished soundtracks. Catchy or danceable moments are complicated by repitition in which flaws become apparant and/or political content challenges "the groove".

Black Strobe

Black Strobe (sometimes Blackstrobe) were formed in Paris in 1997 by producer Arnaud Rebotini and DJ Ivan Smagghe, and were instrumental in the rise of the electroclash movement in the UK with their breakthrough single Me And Madonna. Originally producing in the house genre, they later became more influenced by music from the 1970s and 1980s, especially industrial post punk and camp, European electronic body music (or EBM). However, they describe their dark electrosound as "frozen balearic gay biker house".They are heavily influenced by such bands as Cabaret Voltaire, Nitzer Ebb, Front 242 and Depeche Mode.

They are much sought after as remixers, and worked with such diverse artists as Röyksopp, Nitzer Ebb, Rammstein, The Rapture, and Tiefschwarz.

Ivan Smagghe left in 2006 as Black Strobe expanded to a four-piece live band, with members David "Siskid" Shaw (guitar), Bastien Burger (bass and keyboard) and Benjamin Beaulieu (drums) joining Rebotini on vocals and with Smagghe contributing lyrics. They released their debut album Burn Your Own Church in 2007.

"I'm A Man", was included in the film and soundtrack of Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla.

I'm a man

Lyrics
Now when I was a little boy,
At the age of five,
I had somethin' in my pocket,
Keep a lot of folks alive.

Now I'm a man,
Made twenty-one,
You know baby,
We can have a lot of fun.

I'm a man,
I spell m-a-n...man.

All you pretty women,
Stand in line,
I can make love to you baby,
In an hour's time.

I'm a man,
I spell m-a-n...man.

I goin' back down,
To kansas to
Bring back the second cousin,
Little john the conqueroo.

I'm a man,
I spell m-a-n...man.

The line I shoot,
Will never miss,
The way I make love to 'em,
They can't resist.

I'm a man,
I spell m-a-n...man.

Simone White: The Beep Beep Song

Lyrics:

Beep beep beep beep beep beep beep
go the horns in the cars in the street
we walked away from the lover's leap
opposite directions
synchronised feet
wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
for the time it takes a heart to mend a break
how many moons are reflected in the lake
can you wait forever if time is all it takes
despite all the warnings
I landed like
a fallen star
in your arms
beat beat beat beat beat beat beat
goes my heart on the side of my sleeve
whispering something I can hardly believe
'let me take the lead
cos love is all we need

Parov Stelar

Parov Stelar aka Marcus Füreder is a musician who lives and works in Linz, Austria. His style is characterized by the freedom of jazz combined with the groove of house and breakbeat. He performs as a DJ worldwide, where his sample-heavy remixes borrow enough from both modern beats and 1930s jazz as to be appropriate for both the dancefloor or the easy chair. Neopolitan Dreams

Lisa Mitchell - Neopolitan Dreams

You'll go n I’ll be okay,
I can dream the rest away
Its just a little touch of fate, it will be okay
It sure takes its precious time, but it’s got rights and so have I

I turn my head up to the sky
I focus one thought at a time
I do not let the little thieves under my tightly buttoned sleeves
You couldn’t be alone, the time I feel like I am walking blind
I have no where I’ll have time

There are no legible signs x2

I like the way that you talk,
I like the way that you walk.
It’s hard to recreate such an individual game

You wait you turn in the queue,
You say your sorries and thank you’s
I don’t think you’re ever
A hundred percent in the room
You’re not in the room x2

Deepest, of the dark nights
here lies, the highest of highs
Neopolitan Dreams, stretching out to the sea

You wait you turn in the queue,
You say your sorries and thank yous
I don’t think you’re ever
A hundred percent in the room
You’re not in the room x2
